New Cast Announced for 'A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace' Anime
Happinet has revealed exciting news for fans of the upcoming anime adaptation of Kuzushiro's manga, Egao no Taenai Shokuba Desu (translated as A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace). The series is set to premiere this October on several major channels.
Meet the New Cast Members
The cast includes some well-known voice actors who will bring these characters to life:
- Iori Saeki as Shiori Asakura — an assertive editor at Clover and junior colleague to Satō, admired by her peers.
- Mamiko Noto as Ren Takizawa — a renowned manga creator, with her assistants Futami and Nashida having worked closely with her. Despite her composed exterior, she has faced her share of past struggles.
- Kikuko Inoue as Wakako Tatsunami — the editor-in-chief of Clover magazine, known for her problem-solving skills and support for manga artists. She has previously helped Takizawa.

About the Manga
The story follows Nana Futami, a rookie shōjo manga artist supported by her dedicated editor Kaede Satō and assistant Mizuki Hazama. Despite occasional delusions linked to her occupational stress, Nana perseveres with the help of her colleagues.
Kuzushiro, known for works like Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san and Living With My Brother's Wife, launched this manga as a one-shot in February 2019 before serialization in Kodansha's Comic Days app and website. The 12th volume was published on April 18.
