New Cast Announced for 'Crayon Shin-chan: Super Magnificent! Scorching Kasukabe Dancers' Film
The official website for Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Magnificent! Scorching Kasukabe Dancers) has revealed additional cast members for the upcoming film. This highly anticipated entry marks the 32nd 2D animated film in the beloved Crayon Shin-chan franchise.

Here are the newly announced voice actors and their roles:
Top Row (Left to Right)
- Asami Seto as Ariana, a popular Indian woman
- Kōichi Yamadera as Kabir, a skilled detective with outstanding physical and mental abilities
- Shō Hayami as Dir, a detective fluent in every language in the world
Bottom Row (Left to Right)
- Noriko Hidaka as Sugoi Cube, an AI-equipped cube developed by billionaire Wolf
- Katsuhisa Hōki as Fragtaterde, the manager of a mysterious shop in India
- Chika Sakamoto as Latel, a candidate to become Wolf's partner

Film Details & Setting

- The film is slated to open in Japanese theaters on August 8.
- This will be the franchise's first-ever dance entertainment movie, set in India—a country where Crayon Shin-chan is especially popular.
- The story follows Shinnosuke and the Kasukabe Defense Force as they take on a dance-filled adventure.
Staff and Returning Talent
- Kento Kaku, known for roles in live-action Clover and Like a Dragon: Yakuza, as well as Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom, will play Wolf, the dancing and singing Indian billionaire.
- Masakazu Hashimoto returns as director, having previously helmed several franchise films, including the 30th film Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden.
- Kimiko Ueno, who also worked on Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden and Shinkon Ryokō Hurricane, is writing the screenplay.
Previous Film Performance
The 31st Crayon Shin-chan film, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyōryū Nikki (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary), premiered in Japan on August 9. It opened at #2, selling 365,000 tickets and earning about 455 million yen (roughly US$3.05 million) in three days, and reached 510,000 tickets and 636 million yen (approximately US$4.32 million) in four days, aided by a national holiday.
