New Manga Series 'Hatsukoi Geinin' Announced by Shogakukan
Shogakukan's Manga ONE platform has revealed an exciting new addition to its lineup: a manga titled Hatsukoi Geinin (First Love Comedian), created by Jin Mocoyama. The series is based on a story by Takeshi Nakazawa (known for Kimoiman) and is set to launch on August 8.
What is the story about?
The manga follows a romantic story between a failing comedian who has no experience in love and a mysterious character named Ichikawa. It promises a blend of humor and heartfelt moments.
Jin Mocoyama's Previous Works
- In January 2023, Mocoyama launched the manga Nemu-chan no Sei de Nemurenai! (I Can't Sleep Because of Nemu-chan!) in Kadokawa's Comic Cune magazine.
- He also created the manga I'm Cute Enough to Get Away With It! (Kawaii Kara Giri Yuruseru), which was published on Shogakukan's Ura Sunday web manga service starting August 2021.
- The first volume of this manga was released in March 2022, with the third and final volume shipping in November 2022.
- The manga has been licensed and published digitally in English by Comikey.
