Director: Kenichiro Akimoto (known for Children of the Sea, Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko)
Theme Song: University student and singer-songwriter AKASAKI will perform the song "Tsuretette," which she specifically wrote for this anime. This marks AKASAKI's first time contributing a theme song to an anime.

About the Story
Set in a future Earth invaded by alien enemies called Mimics, the story follows Keiji Kiriya, a newly recruited soldier. After dying in his first battle, he finds himself caught in a time loop, repeatedly waking up before the same battle. Through this cycle, he learns to survive longer and becomes connected with an elite soldier named Rita Vrataski.
Original Novel: published by Shueisha in December 2004, and later translated into English by Viz Media in 2009.
Adaptations:
- A manga by Takeshi Obata and Ryōsuke Takeuchi, serialized in Shueisha's Young Jump from January to May 2014.
- A full-color graphic novel adaptation released in May 2014 by Viz Media, adapted by Nick Mamatas with art by Lee Ferguson.
- The novel inspired Hollywood's Edge of Tomorrow (2014) starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, grossing over US$370 million worldwide.
This adaptation promises to bring a fresh perspective to Sakurazaka's acclaimed sci-fi story. Fans and festival-goers alike are eager to see how the anime will reinterpret this gripping narrative.
