Netflix Announces Third Season of Alice in Borderland
Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya are set to return in the highly anticipated new season of Alice in Borderland. The streaming giant revealed this exciting news through a teaser trailer released on Monday.
What to Expect from the New Season
Netflix confirmed that the third live-action season, based on Haro Aso's manga Imawa no Kuni no Alice, will premiere on September 25. The series continues to follow the gripping story of survival and mystery in a deadly game world.
Plot Highlights
"In the previous season, Arisu (#KentoYamazaki) and Usagi (#TaoTsuchiya) cleared all of the games and returned to the real world. They have since gotten married and established a happy life together. Their memories of the borderland were erased, but they see glimpses of it in dreams and hallucinations. One day, Usagi, led by afterlife researcher Ryuji (#KentoKaku), suddenly vanishes. At the same time as Usagi's disappearance, Banda (#HayatoIsomura) hands Arisu the final card: the Joker."
The story picks up with Arisu and Usagi trying to rebuild their lives, only to be pulled back into the mysterious and dangerous world of the borderland.
