'All You Need Is Kill' Anime Reveals New Cast Members
The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of All You Need Is Kill has announced three additional cast members. This project is a collaboration between Warner Bros. Japan and STUDIO4°C, based on the popular science fiction light novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.

Kana Hanazawa as Shasta
- A genius graduate student who is deeply immersed in Darol’s research.
hiccorohee as Raychell
- A volunteer worker on the same team as Rita. She is concerned about Rita’s tendency to keep others at arm’s length.
mo-junior high school as Yonaval
- A lively and playful volunteer who teases Rita, yet is thoughtful about his friends.
About the 'All You Need Is Kill' Anime
The anime will depict the story from Rita Vrataski’s perspective, offering a fresh take compared to the original novel and the Hollywood film Edge of Tomorrow. The plot centers around Earth under attack by alien invaders called Mimics. Humanity’s soldiers fight in powered armor suits, but the war seems unwinnable.
Main Plot:
- Keiji Kiriya enlists, dies in his first battle, but mysteriously enters a time loop.
- Repeated deaths and lessons help Keiji extend his survival.
- He becomes gradually aware of his surroundings and is eventually drawn to elite soldier Rita Vrataski.

- Rita voiced by Ai Mikami, who portrays a character emotionally guarded.
- Keiji voiced by Natsuki Hanae, who hides behind a smile to blend in with others.

- Directed by Kenichiro Akimoto (Children of the Sea, Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko) at STUDIO4°C.
- The theme song, "Tsuretette", is performed by university student and singer-songwriter AKASAKI. This marks AKASAKI’s first anime theme.

- The Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France is currently screening the anime.
- GKIDS has acquired the rights for multiple territories, including North America, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, where the film will be shown in theaters.
