New Live-Action Adaptation for Popular Novel Series
Novelist Mikito Chinen took to X/Twitter this Thursday to announce exciting news: their novel series Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte (also known as Ameku Takao's Detective Karte) is set to receive a live-action television adaptation. Details about the cast and broadcast dates will be revealed later.

Recent Anime Adaptation
The excitement around the Ameku Takao franchise is particularly palpable as the TV anime adaptation premiered on January 1. Streaming platform Crunchyroll is airing the anime and will also offer an English dub, currently streaming under the title Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective.
Novel Series Background
Shinchosha first published the novel series spanning 13 volumes from October 2014 to September 2022. Recently, Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha has begun to re-publish these volumes while adding three new installments since October 2023. The series boasts a remarkable 3 million copies in cumulative circulation.
Manga Adaptation
In addition to its successful novel and anime outings, the series has also seen a manga adaptation. Hiroki Ohara started this adaptation in 2016, featured in Monthly Comic @Bunch, which concluded in 2018 with four compiled volumes.
