Anime NYC has just announced some thrilling highlights for this year's event, taking place from August 21 to 24 at the Javits Center in New York City. For the first time, the convention will span four days, offering fans even more opportunities to dive into their favorite anime and manga worlds.
Special Screenings and Guest Appearances
On August 23 at 6:00 p.m., attendees will get an exclusive look at the new anime film, Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era (also known as Shinjidai no Tobira). This film is part of the popular Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise, which continues to captivate fans worldwide.

Meet the Industry Experts
The event will feature notable industry figures, including:
- Yū Saitō, editor-in-chief of Shonen Jump. Saitō took on this role in June 2024 after the previous editor, Hiroyuki Nakano, stepped down. He has been with Shueisha since 2005 and has worked on popular manga like Gintama, Hunter X Hunter, World Trigger, Kuroko's Basketball, Nisekoi, and We Never Learn.
- Kirito Iwashita, an accomplished anime producer who joined Twin Engine in 2020. Iwashita has contributed as an assistant producer on Shine on! Bakumatsu Bad Boys and as a planning producer on Hell's Paradise.
