The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, recently announced the winners of its 52nd Annual Annie Awards. Notably, The Wild Robot took home nine awards, sweeping every category it was in contention for. Notably, it won in both instances where it was nominated for Best Voice Acting - Feature.

The Annie Awards aim to recognize outstanding achievements in animation. In 2016, ASIFA-Hollywood introduced the Best Animated Independent Feature category to honor independent and international productions that may not get the recognition they deserve.
