On Friday, Shogakukan's Sunday Webry manga service published the 100th and final chapter of Anji Matono's 100 Ghost Stories That Will Lead to My Death (Boku ga Shinu dake no Hyakumonogatari). This announcement follows the news from November 24 that the series would conclude in just ten chapters.
A Glimpse into the Story
Seven Seas has licensed the series in English and describes it as:
Forever Haunted
A boy sits in a room.
Alone.
Telling tales of horror.
One by one. Night by night.
The shadows breed terror.
Shall we begin?
The story follows Yuuma, an elementary school student who, in a moment of despair, attempts to jump out of his classroom window. His classmate Hina intervenes and shares a chilling ritual: if you tell a hundred ghost stories, you will see ghosts afterward. This revelation sparks a new hope in Yuuma, leading him to share ghost stories with readers, gradually working his way to the hundredth tale.
Publication History
Matono launched the manga in Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday S magazine in December 2020. The ninth compiled volume was published on December 12.
