Shizu-chan Joins Voice Cast for 36th Anpanman Film as Moo-san

Comedy Star Takes on Rancher Role in Popular Anime Franchise

The official website for Soreike! Anpanman: Chapon no Hero!, the 36th film in the beloved Anpanman franchise, announced that Shizu-chan from the comedy duo Nankai Candies will join the upcoming movie as a guest voice actor. Shizu-chan will be voicing Moo-san, a rancher character who offers fresh milk to the film’s cast.

Popular actress Yū Aoi—known for roles in live-action Rurouni Kenshin and Children of the Sea—will voice the film’s central character, Chapon.

Film Synopsis

Chapon is a mysterious boy who falls from the sky with no memory of his origins.
While staying with Anpanman, Chapon learns the happiness of bringing smiles to others and aspires to become a hero himself.
Trouble arises when Baikinman uncovers the truth about Chapon’s origins, forcing the boy to decide whether his past or his dreams will define him.

The film is set to premiere in Japan on June 27.
