The official website for the beloved light novel series Ascendance of a Bookworm has revealed fantastic updates about its upcoming anime adaptation. Fans can look forward to a new season set to premiere in Spring 2026!

About the Series
Ascendance of a Bookworm is a 'biblia fantasy' light novel series written by Miya Kazuki, who started the original web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2013. The series concluded with its 33rd volume in December 2023, with over 11 million copies in circulation.
The story follows Myne, a girl passionate about books, set in the land of Ehrenfest, where nobles wield mana. After a life-changing event, she adopts the identity of Rozemyne, an adopted daughter of an archduke, and embarks on a quest to create books in a world where they are scarce.
Adaptations and Releases
- The series has inspired three seasons of anime produced by Ajia-do, with the first premiering in October 2019.
- The second season aired in April 2020, and the third in April 2022. All seasons are available on Crunchyroll, which streamed both the original and dubbed versions.
