New Cast Members Announced for Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko 2nd Stage Live-Action Sequel
Sayuri Matsumura, Hiroki Nanami, Hohomi Nasu, and More Join the Lineup for the Upcoming Series
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko 2nd Stage (Ayaka-chan wa Hiroko-senpai ni Koishiteru 2nd Stage), the sequel to the live-action adaptation of Sal Jiang's office romance manga, revealed five new cast members on Thursday. These characters are original to the live-action version and do not appear in the manga.

Meet the New Cast
From top left to bottom right in the image above:
- Sayuri Matsumura as Anri, a mysterious employee at a major Tokyo advertising firm who meets Hiroko by chance
- Hiroki Nanami as Jun, a legend in the lesbian community who is rumored to make anyone fall in love with her
- Hohomi Nasu as Misato Ebina, Ayaka's junior colleague at work
- Ema Kurata as Tsumugi Igari, Hiroko's niece
- Riria Kojima as Keiko Igari, Tsumugi's mother and Hiroko's younger sister

Series Premiere Dates
The sequel series will premiere on the following schedules:
- MBS & TV Kanagawa: June 26
- TV Saitama: June 30
- Gunma TV: July 1
- Tochigi TV: July 2
- Chiba TV: July 3
The show will run for six episodes.
Returning to reprise their roles are Shiho Katō as Ayaka Usagida and Kanna Mori as Hiroko Kanō.

About the Manga
Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko is published digitally in English by MangaPlaza, a service by NTT Solmare Corp. The story is described as:
"Soft and bubbly office lady Ayaka is madly in love with her senior at work, Hiroko! Two lovestruck coworkers who both think the other is straight totally crush on each other... popular Twitter artist Sal Jiang's latest office rom-com!"
Sal Jiang launched the manga on Futabasha's Web Comic Action site in June 2020, concluding it in March 2023 with three volumes.
Sal Jiang's other work, Black and White: Tough Love at the Office (Shiro to Kuro: Black & White), appeared on Comic Ruelle starting March 2020 and also ended at three volumes. Seven Seas licensed it in English, publishing the first volume in October 2022; the second volume is scheduled for October 2024.
