Cast Negotiations for the Live-Action 'Street Fighter'
According to Deadline, several big-name actors are in talks to join the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Capcom's iconic fighting game series, Street Fighter. The actors include:
- Andrew Koji (Snake Eyes)
- Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Game of Thrones)
- Noah Centineo (Warfare)
- Roman Reigns, WWE superstar
This film is produced by Legendary Entertainment and marks their first project involving Street Fighter since acquiring the film and TV rights in April 2023. They are collaborating closely with Capcom on future projects.
Release Delay and Future Plans
Originally, the movie was set to hit theaters on March 20, 2026. However, Sony removed it from their release calendar on March 24, 2025, without announcing a new release date.
Kitao Sakurai, known for The Eric Andre Show and Bad Trip, has been tapped to direct the film.
Note: The film's initial directors, brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, have exited the project to focus on their own film, Bring Her Back.
