Exciting News: 'Black Clover' Returns with a New Season!
Crunchyroll announced during its Anime Expo panel on Saturday that the popular anime based on Yūki Tabata's Black Clover manga is coming back with a new season. The streaming service will be the exclusive platform for this upcoming season.

A Brief History of the Series
- The Black Clover anime last aired in March 2021 with its 170th episode.
- It first premiered in Japan in October 2017.
- The series was initially listed with 51 episodes but continued into new seasons in October 2018 and October 2019.
- Crunchyroll streamed the series with Japanese audio and English subtitles, while Funimation provided the English dub.
- The anime also debuted on Adult Swim's Toonami block in December 2017.
- A movie, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, was released in Japan and debuted worldwide on Netflix in June 2023.
Manga Origins and Publication
- Created by Yūki Tabata, the manga launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015.
- It later moved to Jump Giga magazine in 2023.
- Viz Media publishes the manga digitally and in print, with MANGA Plus also offering digital versions.
