Exciting news for K-drama fans! Korean streaming platform Wavve has confirmed the upcoming launch of its exclusive live-action series, Searching for Male Lead. The show is set to premiere on June 27 and will be released in weekly batches of two episodes over three weeks.

Searching for Male Lead is adapted from the webtoon of the same name, created by artist Janbi. The webtoon was serialized between 2021 and 2022 on Naver Webtoon, though it is not yet available in English.

Plot Overview

The series centers on Seol-lem Oh, a college freshman who joins university to find her missing in-game fiancé, FallenExcalibur. As she navigates her new campus life, she finds herself caught in a modern love triangle — torn between her virtual partner and a potential real-life romantic interest.
