Celebrating 40 Years of City Hunter
Tsukasa Hōjō: “I never thought that people would be reading it 40 years later, so I was free to draw silly things as if I was throwing away my shame.”
A Special Announcement
On February 26, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for the City Hunter and Cat's Eye series celebrated a remarkable milestone by revealing an exclusive 40th Anniversary illustration. The post expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from fans over the decades and introduced a dedicated City Hunter 40th Anniversary website. In a delightful twist, the Japan Anniversary Association also designated February 26 as City Hunter Day, coinciding with the series' first serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine back in 1985.
