Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) confirmed that it has secured worldwide theatrical rights for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, an adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s beloved manga. The highly anticipated movie will hit U.S. theaters on October 29, following its international debut in over 80 countries starting September 24. Japanese fans will get an earlier release on September 19.

Reina Ueda stars as Reze, the café worker at the center of the story. MAPPA describes the plot:
Denji, now Chainsaw Man with a devil's heart, works as part of Special Division 4's devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji seeks shelter from the rain and meets Reze, a mysterious girl who works in a café.

Chainsaw Man’s Anime Legacy
The Chainsaw Man television anime premiered in October 2022 on TV Tokyo and affiliated channels, also streaming globally on Crunchyroll. The anime chronicles Denji's journey with his Chainsaw Devil companion, Pochita, living in poverty due to his father’s debts. Betrayed and killed, Denji makes a contract with Pochita, transforming into Chainsaw Man—a man with a devil’s heart.
Manga & Other Adaptations
Written by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018. The manga’s first arc, Public Safety Arc, concluded in 2020, followed by the School Arc continuation in 2022 on Shonen Jump+. Since then, it has earned three Harvey Awards for Best Manga and inspired a stage play adaptation in Tokyo and Kyoto from September to October 2023.
