Exciting News: Chainsaw Man Movie Reze Arc Set for Release
Film Release Dates Announced
The highly anticipated Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is hitting theaters soon! The film will premiere in the United States and the United Kingdom on October 29, with over 80 countries getting an earlier release on September 24. In Japan, fans can catch it starting September 19.
Trailer and Theme Song
During the Anime Expo panel, MAPPA revealed a new trailer and shared details about the film's theme song, performed by Kenshi Yonezu. He returns to the franchise to perform the song titled "IRIS OUT".

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has acquired worldwide theatrical rights. The film will be released in theaters across the U.S. and U.K. on October 29, and earlier in over 80 countries starting September 24.

Story Overview
MAPPA describes the story as follows:
Denji becomes "Chainsaw Man," a boy with a devil's heart, and joins Special Division 4's devil hunters. After a date with Makima, he takes shelter from the rain and meets Reze, a girl working in a café.

Background on the Chainsaw Man Franchise
The Chainsaw Man anime first premiered in October 2022 on TV Tokyo and other channels, with streaming available worldwide via Crunchyroll. The manga, created by Tatsuki Fujimoto, debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018, ending its first part in 2020. The second part, titled Gakkō-hen (School Arc), began serialization in July 2022 on Shonen Jump+ and has won the Harvey Award for Best Manga three years in a row.
Additionally, the manga inspired a stage play that ran in Tokyo and Kyoto from September to October 2023.
