Hanawa-kun gives each señorita a rose for achieving their dreams
On Friday, SUNTORY's Premium Malt's beer brand unveiled the third installment of its collaboration with the beloved anime Chibi Maruko-chan. Titled “Premalt-chan Blue Rose,” the new commercial showcases Maruko Sakura, affectionately known as Maru-chan (played by Suzu Hirose), alongside her friend Tamae Tama-chan Honami (played by Sairi Itō) and classmate Kazuhiro Hanawa-kun Hanawa (played by Joe Odagiri). The setting? A lively bar in New York City.
The commercial is available in three versions: 7 seconds, 15 seconds, and 30 seconds.

Commercial Preview
The new commercial was previewed on March 4, with a post on the brand's X (formerly Twitter) account stating, “A premium Hanawa-kun's first appearance.” The post features a delightful shot of Hanawa-kun greeting Maruko and Tama-chan.

What’s Next?
The collaboration between Premium Malt's and Chibi Maruko-chan began on February 8. This ad campaign follows Maruko's adventures in New York City, set 20 years after the original anime and manga series. The first two commercials depict Maruko attending a small class reunion and opening time-capsule letters with Tama-chan that they wrote as children.
