New Manga Series Jami Jami Set to Launch on May 9
Manga creator Abi Umeda has exciting news for fans! She announced on her X (formerly Twitter) account last Friday that her new manga, Jami Jami (Wicked Life, Wicked Soul), will debut in Hakusensha's Young Animal Zero magazine and on the Young Animal Web manga website on May 9.

About Abi Umeda
Abi Umeda is known for her previous work, Children of the Whales (Kujira no Kora wa Sajō ni Utau), which she launched in Akita Shoten's Monthly Mystery Bonita magazine. This series concluded in January 2023, with the final compiled volume released in March 2023. Viz Media is responsible for releasing the English version, with the 23rd volume hitting shelves in February 2024.
The Children of the Whales manga also inspired a television anime that premiered in October 2017. Netflix began streaming the anime outside Japan in 2018, and it included two original video anime (OVA) released in January and March 2018.
