Entertainment news outlet Deadline reported on Tuesday that PVR Inox Pictures will release Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers (translated as Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Magnificent! Scorching Kasukabe Dancers) in India in October 2025. The film will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Japanese with English subtitles. The English title for the Indian release is listed as Shin-chan The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers in India.
A Milestone for the Series
This film marks the 32nd 2D animated film in the Crayon Shin-chan series and is set to premiere in Japan on August 8. Notably, it will be the series' first dance entertainment movie and the first film set in India. Fans can expect to see Shinnosuke and the members of the Kasukabe Defense Force showcasing their dance moves.
Behind the Scenes
The film is directed by Masakazu Hashimoto, who has previously helmed several films in the franchise, including the 30th installment, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden. The screenplay is written by Kimiko Ueno, who has also contributed to previous films in the series.
Recent Success of the Franchise
The 31st film in the franchise, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyōryū Nikki (translated as Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary), premiered in Japan on August 9. It opened at #2 in the box office, selling 365,000 tickets and earning approximately 455 million yen (around $3.05 million) in its first three days. By the end of its first four days, it had sold 510,000 tickets and grossed 636 million yen (about $4.32 million). This film is set to open in Indian theaters on May 1.
