New Anime 'Cyborg 009: Nemesis' Announced on 61st Anniversary of Classic Manga
Ishimori Production has revealed a new anime titled Cyborg 009: Nemesis, set to debut in celebration of the 61st anniversary of the original manga by Shōtarō Ishinomori. This exciting announcement was made on Saturday, coinciding with the manga's launch date.

A Legacy of Innovation
Shōtarō Ishinomori launched the Cyborg 009 manga in July 1964 in Weekly King magazine by Shonengahosha. The series has since become a cultural icon, inspiring multiple TV anime adaptations in 1968, 1979, and 2001, as well as films in 1966, 1967, and 1980.
More recently, the franchise has seen renewed interest with the release of the 009 Re:Cyborg movie in 2012 and Cyborg 009 Call of Justice in 2016. Additionally, a crossover OVA featuring Devilman was released in 2015.
The Story
The narrative centers around a sinister organization called Black Ghost, which aims to plunge the world into endless war. Black Ghost captures nine men and women, transforming them into cyborg soldiers. However, these cyborgs rebel against their creators and fight to stop Black Ghost's plans.
