# DAN DA DAN Season 1 Gets Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Release
First Season Blu-ray Disc Announcement
GKIDS and Shout! Studios have officially announced the upcoming release of the first season of the DAN DA DAN TV anime. The series, based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s popular manga blending paranormal mystery, battle, and romantic comedy, will be available on Blu-ray starting June 10.
Collector’s Edition Details
The Blu-ray Collector’s Edition includes several exclusive features:

Both the Standard and Collector’s Editions will come with bonus content such as director scene breakdowns and interviews.
Season 2 Premiere and Streaming
Fans can look forward to the second season, which is set to debut in July 2025. Crunchyroll will stream the series as episodes air. Directors Fūga Yamashiro and Abel Góngora, who worked on the first season, will return to helm the production at Science SARU, ensuring consistency with the original cast.

The first season of DAN DA DAN premiered on October 3 in Japan on TBS and MBS’s Super Animeism TURBO programming block. Netflix began streaming the anime globally the same day. The series delivered a total of 12 episodes.

Plot Overview
The story follows Momo, a high school girl with spiritual medium roots, and her classmate Okarun, a devout occult enthusiast. Their friendship takes a unique turn when their opposing beliefs—Momo’s faith in ghosts versus Okarun’s belief in aliens—lead them to explore two eerie locations. Both encounter unexplainable paranormal phenomena that awaken hidden powers, paving the way for a dramatic adventure centered on supernatural battles and budding romance.
Notable Success
The Anime's theatrical screening, DAN DA DAN: First Encounter, featuring its first three episodes, earned $1,005,531 during its limited U.S. box office run in September.
Manga Updates
Yukinobu Tatsu serializes DAN DA DAN on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service. The 18th compiled book volume was published on January 4, while Viz Media released the 12th English volume earlier this week. Both Viz Media and MANGA Plus also offer the manga digitally in English.
