Anime fans, get ready! The renowned studio david production has announced its first original television anime, titled Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse, set to premiere in July. The studio has also released the anime's first promotional video, key visual, cast, and staff details.

Setting and Plot
Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse transports viewers to an alternate version of Heian-kyō, the historical name for Kyoto during Japan's Heian era. This reimagined city is called Denji Heian-kyō (The Tranquil Capital of Divine Lightning).
The story follows Takeru Narehira, a delinquent high schooler who finds himself in Denji Heian-kyō after a tragic accident. Here, he encounters Tsukimiya, a woman from his dreams. However, their meeting is cut short when they face an oni monster, leading to their demise. Takeru awakens once more in Denji Heian-kyō, realizing he possesses the ability to travel back in time. Determined to save Tsukimiya, he sets out to master the mystical art of onmyōjutsu and become an onmyōji sorcerer.
Manga Adaptation
The story is also being adapted into a manga by Fujiko Sakuno and Kyūjō Matsumoto, published in Kodansha's Morning two magazine since February 6.

Behind the Scenes
The anime is directed by Hideya Takahashi, known for his work on Keijo!!!!!!!!, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Urusei Yatsura. The original story concept is credited to light novel author Akutō Satō. The series scripts are managed by Hayashi Mori, while character designs are by Kazuaki Morita. Katsuie Shibata is responsible for worldbuilding and research, with Kitsuneiro providing concept art. The music composition is handled by Masahiro Tokuda.
