The game will feature a paid Character Pass DLC, allowing players to unlock characters from the recent Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns film, which can be used in VS. Mode.
Post-launch, a free update will add Muzan Kibutsuji as a playable character in VS. Mode.
Release Dates and Platforms
The game launches in Japan on August 1 and in English on August 5.
Available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Owners of the English Deluxe Edition can start playing up to five days early.

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes:
Two Kimetsu Academy Character unlock keys (Kyojuro Rengoku and Tengen Uzui)
Four additional character keys (Tengen Uzui, Obanai Iguro, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Gyomei Himejima)
VS. Mode system voices and costumes
The Japanese release will feature a special edition with a physical figure, digital in-game costumes, and pre-order bonuses like illustrated cases from ufotable.
Digital deluxe versions will also be available for purchase.
Story and Gameplay
The story mode continues from the first game, covering the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc.
The VS. Mode will feature over 40 playable characters, including Muichirō Tokitō and Mitsuri Kanroji, who are also pre-order bonuses.
All characters from the first game will return, along with new demons and Hashira as playable characters.

The game is being developed by Cyber Connect 2 and published by Aniplex.
The original Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles was released in Japan in October 2021 and globally in October 2021-2022 across various platforms.
