A Look Back at the First Hinokami Chronicles Game

The first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles launched in Japan (October 14, 2021), followed by an English release in Asia, North America, and Europe the next day on multiple platforms. The Nintendo Switch version arrived in June 2022. The game has shipped and sold over 4 million units worldwide (including both physical and digital copies, according to Sega).

Original Game Synopsis:

Become the Demon Slayer, Tanjiro Kamado, as you fight to free your sister Nezuko from her demon curse and avenge your family by hunting down the demon responsible for their deaths.

The first game saw several updates, including new characters, group battle modes for up to eight players, and five waves of paid DLC in 2022.
