Detective Conan Triumphs at TVer Awards 2024
Japanese video-on-demand platform TVer showcased its annual awards ceremony, honoring Detective Conan with the coveted anime grand prize. This recognition came on Monday, reaffirming the show's popularity, as it secured the top spot for total views in the anime category on the platform.

Recent Film Success
The success of Detective Conan is further evidenced by the latest film, Detective Conan: Hyakuman Doru no Michishirube (Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram), which premiered in April 2023. The film was a blockbuster, ranking #1 in its opening weekend, selling over 2.27 million tickets and earning approximately 3.35 billion yen (around US$21.7 million) in just three days.
This film has now become the highest-grossing entry in the Detective Conan franchise, surpassing 2023's Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine which grossed 13.83 billion yen (about US$88.23 million).
Looking ahead, the next film, Meitantei Conan: Sekigan no Flashback (Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback), the 28th in the series, is set to premiere in Japan on April 18, 2024.
