New Anime Alert: Rock is a Lady's Modesty
Akira Sekine lends her voice to a character in this upcoming series debuting in April.
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Rock is a Lady's Modesty (Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite), created by Hiroshi Fukuda, has released a new “gap visual” and a character video for Lilisa Suzunomiya, voiced by Akira Sekine. This exciting announcement was made on Thursday.

Main Cast and Premiere Details
Alongside Akira Sekine, the anime features Miyuri Shimabukuro as Otoha Kurogane. The series is set to premiere in April on TBS and its 27 affiliate channels, airing on Thursdays at 11:56 p.m. JST.
Production Team
The anime is directed by Shinya Watada (Aikatsu Stars!, The IDOLM@STER Million Live!) at BN Pictures, with Ōri Yasukawa as the assistant director. The script is handled by Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, A Certain Scientific Railgun T) while character designs are by Risa Miyadani (Aikatsu! Planet, Wonderful Precure! The Movie!). The visual direction is managed by Yasufumi Soejima (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure).

Plot Overview
Set in an all-girls' school, the story follows Lilisa Suzunomiya, a girl who sacrifices her passion for rock music after her mother remarries a real estate mogul. However, her love for music is reignited when she meets an incredibly talented drummer at the school.
About the Manga
Hiroshi Fukuda launched the Rock is a Lady's Modesty manga in Young Animal in October 2022. Hakusensha released the first volume in April 2023, and the sixth volume will debut on November 28.
