Anime enthusiasts can now enjoy daily uploads of the Woodpecker Detective's Office on the Muse India YouTube channel. This captivating series, based on the mystery novel by Kei Ii, began streaming on February 21.

About the Series
Woodpecker Detective's Office premiered in April 2020. The story unfolds during the Meiji Era, following the genius poet Ishikawa Takuboku. Struggling financially, he starts a detective business in his lodging, inspired by a murder case. The series features intriguing cases, including:
- The ghosts of the Twelve-Story Tower in Asakusa
- A man-eating figure wandering the snowy streets
Takuboku is joined by his childhood friend, Kindaichi Kyosuke, as they delve into one bizarre mystery after another.

Behind the Scenes
The anime is directed by Shinpei Ezaki, known for his work on Monster Strike The Movie and Hanebad!, at LIDEN FILMS. The series features:

- Taku Kishimoto overseeing the scripts
- Character designs by Kaoru Saki, adapted for animation by Shuichi Hara
- Music composed by MONACA
- Sound direction by Yōji Shimizu
Theme Songs
The opening theme, Honjitsu mo Makoto ni Seiten Nari (The Skies Are Clear Again Today), is performed by Makoto Furukawa, while the ending theme, Gondola no Uta (Gondola Song), is by NOW ON AIR.
Publication History
Kei Ii first published the novel in 1999 through Tokyo Sogensha in the regular tankōbon format. It was later re-released in a smaller bunko format in 2008.
