Exciting Announcement from Crunchyroll, Sony Pictures, and Aniplex
On Wednesday, Crunchyroll, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Aniplex revealed that the highly anticipated first film of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle trilogy will be released in theaters across the United States and Canada on September 12. The film will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles as well as in an English dub. Along with this announcement, the companies have released an English-subtitled trailer:

International Screening Dates
The film will also debut in several countries prior to the U.S. release, with specific dates as follows:
- August 14: Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan
- August 15: Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam
- August 20: Philippines
- September 11: Mexico, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and many more regions
- September 12: India, Mongolia, Spain, and more
- September 17: Belgium, France, Luxembourg
- September 18: Moldova
- September 25: Austria, Germany, Switzerland
Japan Release and Special Screenings
In Japan, the film is set to open on July 18. It will be showcased on a record-breaking 443 screens, including IMAX formats. Notably, Aniplex is aiming for the film's global reach to extend across over 150 countries — surpassing previous screenings that covered 145 regions.
From April 4 to July 3, the previous 12 films in the franchise will be re-screened in Japan, featuring limited-engagement runs and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the new trilogy.
The Infinity Castle Arc
This new trilogy adapts the popular Infinity Castle arc. Crunchyroll is set to distribute the trilogy worldwide, excluding select Asian territories and Japan.
Series Background
The original Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime first premiered in April 2019. Following this success, Crunchyroll and Aniplex of America licensed and streamed the series through platforms like Hulu and Funimation. The franchise soared with the Mugen Train film release in October 2020, which has continued to be a fan favorite.
The Demon Slayer universe also includes several anime arcs like the Mugen Train Arc, Entertainment District Arc, and Swordsmith Village Arc, all of which have been well-received and streamed through prominent platforms.
