Exciting News: Neko to Ryū Anime Announcement

On Neko no Hi (Cat Day), a new official website launched to announce the adaptation of Amara's beloved novels, Neko to Ryū (The Cat and the Dragon), into a television anime. The site features an intriguing announcement trailer showcasing the voice of Nekoryū, who speaks in a unique cat language.

Character Design

The website also unveiled a visual created by character designer Mai Ōkuma.

About the Series

Amara first introduced the web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in September 2013. The story revolves around a dragon raised by a cat, capturing the hearts of many readers.

• Takarajimasha published the first light novel volume in April 2016, featuring illustrations by Ōkuma.
• The seventh light novel volume was released in September 2023.
• The fourth paperback volume is set to ship on March 5, 2024, pushing total sales past 1 million copies.

In addition, Izumi Sasaki launched a manga adaptation in Kono Manga ga Sugoi! in September 2017, which began serialization in Manga Box in April 2020. The 10th compiled book volume is scheduled to ship in Japan in June 2024.
