Exciting New Anime Announcement at Anime Expo 2025
Drecom revealed an exciting new trailer and confirmed the debut of the anime adaptation of The Holy Grail of Eris during Anime Expo on Saturday. Fans can look forward to the series premiering in January 2026.
About the Anime
The upcoming anime is based on the light novel series Eris no Seihai by Kujira Tokiwa and Yuunagi. In Japan, it will air on TBS and its affiliated stations, as well as on BS11.

Origin and Story
The story began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2017. Drecom published five volumes of the original light novel on November 7.
Yen Press has licensed the series in English, describing it as:
Connie is a young noblewoman whose only standout quality is her sincerity. Maybe that's why she loses her fiancée and gets framed for a crime in one night. Just as all hope seems lost, the ghost of an infamous villainess who was executed years ago possesses her and clears her name. With her charisma and intelligence, the spirit of Scarlet Castiel turns the tables instantly. In return, Connie helps uncover the truth behind her benefactor's death and a lingering conspiracy.
Manga Adaptations
Momoyama's manga adaptation launched on Square Enix's Manga UP! web platform in 2019. Yen Press also publishes the manga, which is available digitally through Manga UP! Global.
Recently, S. Kosugi launched a sequel manga titled Eris no Seihai S (The Holy Grail of Eris -SEQUEL-) on October 18.
