About the Franchise
The manga Rakudai Ninja Rantarō by Soubee Amako centers on Rantarō, a ninja apprentice at an elite ninjutsu school in historical Japan.
As children, Rantarō and his friends are called "Nintama", a blend of ninja and tamago (egg).
The manga inspired the long-running TV anime since 1993, along with multiple films and live-action adaptations.
Notably, the first live-action film was directed by Takashi Miike.
