Exciting News: New Boys Love Anime Adaptation Announced!

IMAGICA Infos has teamed up with Dai Nippon Printing (DNP), CYBIRD, and Blue Rights to launch a new boys love (BL) label called Balloon. This fresh initiative aims to bring more BL stories to the screen, starting with a light anime adaptation of the popular light novel series Saioshi no Gikei Mederu Tame, Nagaikishimasu! by Tenma Asahi.

About the Project

The first project under the Balloon label is a light anime based on Asahi's series, which is scheduled for broadcast in 2026. The story follows a unique twist in a simulation raising game: a player fights to protect his favorite character, who gets reincarnated as his older brother-in-law. Meanwhile, the player himself is reincarnated as the younger brother, who was destined to die.

Production and Goals

DNP is pioneering the concept of "light anime", which allows for cost-effective animation production on a more flexible schedule compared to traditional methods. The Balloon label plans to produce four titles in 2026 and aims to ramp up to 10 or more projects annually by 2028.

About the Light Novel and Manga

• The series was first published by AlphaPolis in September 2021, with the fifth volume released in January.
• A manga adaptation by Aki Tsujimoto launched on the AlphaPolis platform under the Andarche label in January 2025.
• The first manga volume was shipped on August 1, with the second scheduled for July 2.
