Mita and Uoto to Launch Makai no Gijō Manga This Friday
This year's 12th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine has announced an exciting new manga debut. Renowned creators Norifusa Mita and Osamu Uoto will launch Makai no Gijō (The Chamber of the Demon World) in the magazine's next issue, set to release on February 21. Mita is responsible for the original story, while Uoto will handle the artwork.

Notable Works by Norifusa Mita
Mita is well-known for his award-winning manga Dragon Zakura, which ran from 2003 to 2007. This series not only won the Kodansha Manga Award but also inspired a live-action television series in 2005, followed by a sequel in 2010 and a Korean adaptation in the same year.

In January 2018, Mita launched a sequel titled Dragon Zakura Two, which concluded in March 2021. This sequel also received a live-action adaptation that premiered in April 2021.
Mita's recent work, Archimedes no Taisen (The Great War of Archimedes), concluded in September 2023 after 378 chapters. This series, which began in November 2015, transitioned to YanMaga Web in July 2023 and saw its final volume published in December 2023. It also inspired a live-action film that debuted in July 2019.
Osamu Uoto's Contributions
Osamu Uoto has collaborated with the late Jinpachi Mori on the manga Kasai no Hito (The Family Cultivator), which ran from 1988 to 1996. This series led to multiple live-action adaptations, including a new series in 2021.
Uoto also worked on Ganbaryonkaa Masako-chan, which was serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits from January 2022 to October 2023.
