Uncut Version Streams Early on OceanVeil
Uncut version of the anime adaptation of Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami will stream on WWWave Corporation's new platform OceanVeil starting March 14, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. PDT (4:00 a.m. EDT).
Trailer Release
On Wednesday, Suiseisha unveiled a trailer for the adaptation of Ayaka Matsumoto's popular manga. The trailer features the theme song "Bokura no Rendezvous" performed by the main characters Akihiro Kaji (voiced by Chasuke) and Yu Fukami (voiced by Marshmallow Yakitarō).

The debut of OceanVeil is set for March 11, 2024.

Premiere Details
The anime will premiere on Japanese television on April 6, 2024, broadcasting on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels. Viewers can also access it simultaneously in Japan and overseas via the Coolmic website.

Story Synopsis
Suiseisha describes the anime's premise:
"How does someone as perfect as me get turned on by a guy who's so... ordinary?! Kaji's good looks and charm have made him popular at his office. However, beneath the surface, he secretly looks down on others and has a scoring system for them! If only he could find a perfect match. One day, on an overnight business trip with the bland Fukami, Kaji vows he would never sleep with him—until a shower reveal changes everything!"
About the Adaptation
AnimeFesta, part of the AnimeFesta brand, announced the adaptation of this boys' love manga. Ayaka Matsumoto first launched the manga on WWWave Corporation's ComicFesta in 2022. The third volume of the manga will be released on March 18, 2024.
Coolmic distributes the manga in English, while Renta! also publishes it.
Previous and Upcoming Releases
WWWave Corporation owns ComicFesta, which has produced various short anime adaptations over the last six years. Their adaptations are known for having both censored and uncensored versions. The latest release is of OUMA's The Share House's Secret Rule, which premiered its uncensored version on Coolmic on January 5.
