Live-Action 'Baban Baban Ban Vampire' Film Set for July 4 Release
The highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Baban Baban Ban Vampire, based on Hiromasa Okujima's manga, is finally scheduled to hit theaters on July 4. Originally slated for February 14, the release was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, and the preview screening planned for January 21 was canceled.
New Clip Unveiled
On Thursday, the official X/Twitter account shared a new teaser for the film. The clip features a late-night conversation between Rihito and Ranmaru, where Rihito nervously prepares for his first day at a new school. Ranmaru offers reassurance, but there's a tempting undercurrent as he appears tempted to drink Rihito's blood.

The Cast and Controversy
The film stars:
- Ryō Yoshizawa as Ranmaru Mori, the vampire protagonist. Recently, Yoshizawa was questioned by Tokyo police following an incident on December 30, where he allegedly entered a neighbor's apartment while intoxicated. His agency, AMUSE, confirmed the incident, stating Yoshizawa has apologized and has moved out of the apartment.

About the Manga
Baban Baban Ban Vampire is a BL (Bloody Love Comedy) manga that follows Ranmaru, a 450-year-old vampire working part-time at an old public bath. He desires the blood of an 18-year-old virgin and keeps a close watch on Rihito, the 15-year-old son of the bathhouse owners, trying to prevent him from losing his virginity.
The manga was launched in October 2021 in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine. As of March 7, the tenth volume has been published.
Anime Adaptation
The manga's anime adaptation premiered in Japan on January 11 and is available for streaming on Netflix. Fans can look forward to more content from this unique vampire story.
