About the Titles
Reform with No Wasted Draws - The Legend of Koizumi
This political satire manga features Prime Minister Junichirō Koizumi engaging in high-stakes mahjong games to settle diplomatic disputes. Serialized in Kindai Mahjong, the series humorously depicts Koizumi facing caricatured world leaders like George W. Bush, Kim Jong-il, Vladimir Putin, and Margaret Thatcher. The manga's title references Koizumi's political slogan, Seiiki Naki Kaikaku (Reform without Sanctuary). An animated three-episode OVA was released online between 2009 and 2010, and a sequel titled Reform with No Wasted Draws – Princess of Zipang is currently serialized.
136 Ready-to-Use Mahjong Strategy & Tactics
This guide is authored by Senba Kurono, a top-ranked VTuber and professional mahjong player. It distills offense, push-fold strategies, tile calls, defensive reads, and placement control into 136 quick, actionable techniques suitable for players of all skill levels looking to improve their game.
Background on the Creator
Hideki Ohwada has a rich history in manga and anime, having launched the original Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku manga in Kindai Mahjong magazine. The series, which inspired a three-episode anime, features political satire and mahjong battles among world leaders. The manga concluded with its 16th volume in October 2015, but a sequel, Princess of Jipang, was launched in 2017 after a brief hiatus.
Additional Notes

- The anime adaptation was streamed on YouTube and Nico Nico Douga in 2009.
- The manga's sequel continues the satirical and humorous tone, ending in November 2022.
