Exciting News: Manga Adaptation of Fate/Samurai Remnant Launches Soon!
Mugetsu is set to bring the world of Fate/Samurai Remnant to manga readers starting July 28. This announcement was made via the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Kadokawa's Comptiq magazine and Type-Moon's Comic Ace website.
What to Expect
- The manga will be drawn by Mugetsu, known for their work on the Sword Art Online: Progressive manga.
- It is based on the popular Fate/Samurai Remnant action role-playing game, developed by Koei Tecmo.
- The story is set during the Edo Period, in the 4th year of the Keian Era, where a new Holy Grail War begins amidst a peaceful era.
About the Game
- Released in Japan on September 28, 2023, and worldwide on September 29.
- Available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
- Supervised by Type-Moon and produced in collaboration with Aniplex.
- The story follows Miyamoto Iori, a young man caught in the chaos of a secret battle called the Waxing Moon Ritual.
Creative Team
- Rei Wataru, who previously worked on Fate/Grand Order -Epic of Remnant- Pseudo-Singularity III, designed the characters.
- Hikaru Sakurai and Yuichiro Higashide supervised the story, both experienced scenario writers.
- The game's intro was animated by CloverWorks.

- Mugetsu also illustrated the two-volume manga Sword Art Online: Progressive - Canon of the Golden Rule, serialized from March 2021 to April 2022.
- This manga has been licensed and published in English by Yen Press.
