Exciting News: 'Gachiakuta' Anime Debuts in Japan!
Series premiered on Sunday, bringing Kei Urana's popular manga to the small screen. Fans can look forward to a thrilling story told over two continuous cours (quarters of a year) without any breaks.
Series Details and Broadcast
The anime debuted in Japan this Sunday and is airing on multiple channels, including CBC, TBS, and 26 other broadcasters. Meanwhile, Crunchyroll is streaming the series worldwide, covering North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS (excluding Russia and Belarus), and the Indian subcontinent.
Good news for English-speaking fans: Crunchyroll is also releasing an English dub starting July 6.
Premiere Event
The first two episodes were screened at the Anime Expo, where creators Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Ando, along with producer Naoki Amano, attended the premiere, exciting fans with a sneak peek of what's to come.

About the Manga
Published by Kodansha USA, the manga follows Rudo, a young man living in the slums of a floating town. Falsely accused of murder, he faces exile into the dangerous surface world, where waste has bred vicious monsters. To uncover the truth and seek vengeance, Rudo must master new powers and join the Cleaners, a group fighting the monstrous trash beasts of the Pit.
The manga launched in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2022, with Hideyoshi Ando credited for graffiti design. The 15th volume was published on June 17.
Summary of the story:
Rudo lives in the slums, under the shadow of the wealthy. When he's falsely accused of murder, he's exiled into a wasteland filled with monsters. To survive and find justice, he joins the Cleaners and learns to harness a new power.
