Pokémon and Boy Scouts Japan Collaborate on New Adventure Program
A Unique Partnership for Young Explorers
On June 13, the Pokémon franchise teamed up with the Boy Scouts of Japan to launch an exciting new program called "Aim to Be a Pokémon Trainer!". This initiative will run across all 47 prefectures in Japan from next month until June 2026.
Who Can Join?
- Kids around 10 years old
- No need to be a Boy Scout member
The program's name is a nod to the franchise’s first Japanese opening theme song, "Mezase Pokémon Master" or "Aim to Be a Pokémon Master."
Fun and Educational Missions
Participants will embark on six different missions, each designed to promote outdoor skills and teamwork:
- "Hungry! Operation: Berries" – Foraging for berries
- "The Wind's Up to No Good! Get Back on the Path!" – Pathfinding in nature
- "Big Search in Rustling Fallen Leaves!" – Finding hidden items like a buried hammer
- "What Do We Do? Pokémon Stuck on a Cliff" – Rescue operations
- "Where Are They? Pokémon Expedition!" – Searching for lost Pokémon
- "Let's Go on a Pokémon Rescue Mission!" – First aid and injury treatment
Each activity encourages kids to explore the wilderness, solve problems, and learn vital skills.
