New Visual for the First Shin-chan Film Set in India Revealed
The official website for Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Magnificent! Scorching Kasukabe Dancers) has unveiled a fresh trailer and visual for the latest installment in the popular Crayon Shin-chan anime series. The film is set to premiere on August 8, 2025.

A First for the Franchise
This film marks the 32nd 2D animated movie in the Crayon Shin-chan series and is notable for being the franchise's first film set in India. The storyline will feature Shinnosuke and the members of the Kasukabe Defense Force as they engage in dance, adding a unique twist to the series.

Behind the Scenes
Directed by Masakazu Hashimoto, who has helmed several films in the franchise, including the 30th installment, Kimiko Ueno returns to write the screenplay. Ueno has previously worked on films such as Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Mononoke Ninja Chinpūden and Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shinkon Ryokō Hurricane.
Previous Film Success
The 31st film in the franchise, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyōryū Nikki (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary), premiered in Japan on August 9, 2023. It opened at #2, selling 365,000 tickets and earning 455 million yen (approximately $3.05 million) in its first three days. By the fourth day, ticket sales reached 510,000, with total earnings of 636 million yen (around $4.32 million).
