About the Manga
Ablaze has licensed the Gannibal manga and recently published its third volume. The story follows Daigo Agawa, a police officer assigned to a remote mountain village, where he uncovers dark secrets after a suspicious death.
In GANNIBAL, Daigo Agawa is a resident police officer who has been recently assigned to the remote mountain village of Kuge. He is initially warmly welcomed by the villagers, but with the suspicious death of an old woman, he gradually becomes aware of the anomaly of the village and begins to suspect that “The people in this village are eating people.”
Ablaze also launched a Kickstarter campaign in October 2023 for a limited-edition hardcover box set of the manga, which reached its funding goal within hours.
Masaaki Ninomiya's manga debuted in Weekly Manga Goraku in October 2018 and concluded in November 2021, with the final volume released in February 2022.
