Exciting News for Transformers Fans: New Anime Series Announced
Transformers is set to make a grand return to the anime scene with its first series produced primarily in Japan in a decade. This announcement comes from Takara Tomy, who released a teaser video on Tuesday, revealing the upcoming series titled Transformers: Wild King.

A Decade in the Making
Transformers: Wild King marks the franchise's first anime series since Q Transformers: Kaettekita Convoy no Nazo, which aired for two seasons in 2015. The previous series was animated by DLE Inc.. In recent years, the franchise has seen various adaptations, including:
- Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy on Netflix, animated by Polygon Pictures.
- Transformers 40th Anniversary Special Movie, animated by Studio Trigger.
Plot Overview
Set in a new world called Elementros, the series introduces transforming animals and dinosaurs known as Energy Beasts. The story follows Optimus Prime as he journeys to Elementros with his friend Megatron. Here, Optimus is aided by Lightlong, a native who reveals that the Energy Beasts are connected to one of five elemental energies: fire, water, earth, nature, and lightning. When Megatron turns against Optimus, the duo combines forces to unleash the power of the Wild King.
