World Webtoon Awards 2024: Fans Can Vote for Their Favorite

The second annual World Webtoon Awards is set to celebrate the best in global webcomics, with a new twist for fans. This year, a Reader's Choice Award has been introduced, giving fans a chance to vote on their favorite shortlisted works.

About the Awards

Organized by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MSCT) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), the awards recognize outstanding webtoons released between January 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025. These works are featured across various domestic and international platforms.

Voting and Nominations

Public nominations are open from June 16 to July 15 via the official website.
Around 20 finalists will be announced in late August.
The top 10 winners will be celebrated at a ceremony on October 22 at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul.

Last year, ten webtoons earned recognition, including popular titles such as:

The Remarried Empress
Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint
Hellbound

World Webtoon Festival

This event will coincide with the World Webtoon Festival, which will take place from October 19 to 22. The festival will expand across the Lotte World Tower and Ice Rink, featuring 11 pop-up stores from October 16 to 26.
