The official website for the Golden Kamuy anime has announced an upcoming Blu-ray Disc release that includes a brand-new spin-off anime and novel! Here's what you need to know:

New Spin-off Anime and Novel

• The first official spin-off novel, titled Golden Kamuy: Tsurumi Tokushirō no Shukugan (Golden Kamuy: Tsurumi Tokushirō's Aspiration), is based on Satoru Noda's popular manga.
• The novel will be bundled with a 30-minute anime adaptation on the Blu-ray, set to release on October 17.
• The story focuses on the shocking incidents experienced by Tsurumi and the 7th Division during the Russo-Japanese War.

Voice Cast Highlights

• Kōichi Yamadera will voice Keiichirō Sakamoto.
• Kotono Mitsuishi will bring to life O-gin (O-gin the Viper), in an adaptation of the manga chapter "Inazuma Gōtō to Mamushi no O-Gin".
• Ikue Ōtani will voice the bird character Shimaenaga in the mini-episode "Shimaenaga" (The Hokkaido Long-Tailed Snow Bird).

Production Details

• The anime will be directed by Shizutaka Sugahara, returning from the fourth season.
• Animation will be handled once again by Brains Base.
