About the Series
Published by J-Novel Club, Haibara's Teenage New Game+ is a story that resonates with many who look back on their high school days with a mix of embarrassment and nostalgia. The story follows Natsuki Haibara, a socially anxious college senior, who finds himself transported seven years into the past—just before his high school journey begins.
What’s the story about?
We all have embarrassing memories or deep regrets from high school, right? Socially anxious college senior Natsuki Haibara sure does. When he thinks back on that time of his life, all he has are fleeting fantasies of a happy adolescence that could have been.
Imagine his surprise when he wakes up in his younger body, one month before high school starts. Now, Haibara faces the challenge of avoiding past mistakes, climbing the social ladder, and possibly ending up with the girl of his dreams. To succeed, he’ll need to use all his resources—workouts, online guides, a childhood friend, and sheer determination.
Series Progress
The series is approaching its conclusion, with the final arc beginning in Volume 9, which ships on Tuesday. The first volume was released in December 2021, and the series has since gained popularity, winning the grand prize at the HJ Novel Award in 2020.
Adaptations and Spin-offs
In June 2023, Misaomaru created a full-color vertical comic adaptation, bringing the story to a new visual format.
