The first season of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior aired in July 2023, and fans have reason to celebrate—there's officially a second season on the way!
Announcement and Celebration
The official website for the anime, based on the light novel series by Tenichi and Suzunosuke, announced the upcoming season on Monday. To mark the occasion, Suzunosuke created a special illustration, which you can see below:

About the First Season
The anime's debut in July 2023 was well-received. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series, streaming it on HIDIVE during its Japanese broadcast. The Blu-ray release followed in October 2024.
The Story
Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing both the original light novels and manga adaptation in English. The story follows Princess Pride Royal Ivy, who, at just eight years old, discovers she's been reincarnated as the villainess of an otome game. Determined to change her fate, she abandons her villainous plans to protect her love interests and save her kingdom. Will she earn her people's love instead?
"Pride Royal Ivy is only eight years old when she realizes that she's been reincarnated, destined to become the future wicked queen and final boss of an otome game. Production Details
The first season was directed by Norio Nitta at OLM Team Yoshioka, with series composition by Deko Akao. Hitomi Kōno designed the characters, and the music was composed by Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, and Junko Nakajima.
Origin and Manga
The story was originally serialized online by Tenichi on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website starting in April 2018. Ichijinsha began publishing the light novels with Suzunosuke's illustrations in June 2019.
The manga adaptation, illustrated by Akiko Kawano, launched in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine in June 2023. Earlier this year, it was relaunched with a new arc and title: Higeki no Genkyō to naru Saikyō Gedō Last Boss Joō wa Min no tame ni Tsukushimasu. The Savior's Pride.
