Exciting New Anime Announcement: Dusk Beyond the End of the World
P.A. Works is set to debut a brand-new original TV anime, Towa no Yugure (translated as Dusk Beyond the End of the World), this fall. The series will be streamed exclusively on HIDIVE, with the world premiere of the first two episodes scheduled at Anime NYC on August 24 at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
The anime is scheduled to premiere on MBS and TBS's "Super Animeism Turbo" programming block in October.
The Story
The series follows Akira, a male high school student who falls into a deep sleep and wakes up 200 years later in a world ravaged by war. In this new world, a unified organization called OWEL governs society, and a system called Elsie (or LC) has replaced traditional marriage.
Upon awakening, Akira encounters Yugure, an android who bears a striking resemblance to his girlfriend Towasa. Yugure immediately proposes marriage, leaving Akira puzzled. Believing Towasa might still be alive somewhere, Akira decides to embark on a journey with Yugure.
